8 more similar downpours needed to avert phase-3 rationing: MOEA

TAIPEI, Taiwan — Eight more downpours are needed before the Water Resources Agency (水利署) can lift phase-three water rationing slated to start April 1, Economics Minister John Deng (鄧振中) estimated yesterday.

Cloud seeding, along with the arrival of a wet weather system from southern China, brought welcome showers this week to alleviate the worst drought in Taiwan on record.     [FULL  STORY]
