People are curious about how much influence the premier had on the Cabinet reshuffle. Cabinet Spokesperson Hsu Kuo-yung spoke about the issue on Friday:

“We emphasize again that of course defense, foreign affairs and China policy are under the jurisdiction of the president. She of course would discuss it with the premier as they are part of the Executive Yuan or the Cabinet.
