TAIPEI, Taiwan — As the public readies for another boycott movement against Ting Hsin International Group (頂新) and its affiliated businesses, convenience store FamilyMart stressed it is not part of the oil scandal-implicated food giant.
The renewed boycott is a show of public outcry after Ting Hsin’s former chairman executive Wei Ying-chun (魏應充) and six company employees were acquitted of charges by a district court last Friday.
