Taipei – The Golden Horse Fantastic Film Festival will kick off on April 10 in Taipei, showcasing
over 40 films, including cult classics and other non-conventional productions from around the world.
A spinoff of the Taipei Golden Horse Film Festival, the Golden Horse Fantastic Film Festival will open this year with director Chang Tso-chi’s “Thanatos, Drunk,” which follows the story of two brothers, one straight and one gay, as they struggle to find a foothold in life.
The festival will include a section that tells unconventional love stories, such as the time travel comedy-romance “The Infinite Man,” and one that screens Japanese films, including the dark comedy “0.5mm” and music youth drama “La La La at Rock Bottom,” according to the organizers.
Another section of the festival will be dedicated to cult classics, and will show the likes of Michel Gondry’s 2004 science fiction comedy-drama “Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind” and Jacques Tati’s 1967 complex comedy “Playtime.” [FULL STORY]
