Japanese cyclist Arashiro takes yellow jersey in Tour de Taiwan

Taipei, March 14 (CNA) Japanese cyclist Yukiya Arashiro emerged as the leader

Wednesday in the 2018 Tour de Taiwan in Nantou County, claiming the yellow jersey.

Arashiro completed the fourth stage of the cycling competition in third place, riding 166.56 kilometers in a time of three hours, 59 minutes and 22 seconds.

He said he was up against strong opponents and was very happy to be wearing the yellow jersey at the end of the day.

“For a long time, I hadn’t been delivering good results,” Arashiro said. “The last time I had such a good performance was two years ago.”    [FULL  STORY]
