TAIPEI–Largan Precision Co. (大立光), a supplier of smartphone camera lenses to Apple Inc., said Saturday that its sales in November fell slightly from a month earlier but that its year-to-date sales were still substantially higher than last year.
Largan posted consolidated sales of NT$5.71 billion (US$174 million) in November, down 1 percent from a month earlier, but up 2 percent from a year earlier.
In the first 11 months of the year, Largan’s consolidated sales were up 30 percent from a year earlier at NT$51.90 billion.
Largan said November sales were in fact little changed from a month earlier, in line with company expectations. But it cautioned that a slowdown in the global smartphone market could have a bigger negative impact on sales in December. [FULL STORY]
