Taipei, Aug. 29 (CNA) The 2015 William Jones Cup-Men, an annual international basketball tournament, opened Saturday at the Xinzhuang Gymnasium in New Taipei, northern Taiwan.

With the participation of 8 teams from Japan, South Korea, the Philippines, Iran, the United States, New Zealand, Russia and the host country, Taiwan, the tournament is being conducted on a round-robin basis and will last through Sept. 6.

Taiwan is represented in the tournament by its national team divided into two subgroups — ROC-A and ROC-B — while Japan, South Korea, the Philippines and Iran are also represented by their respective national teams.     [FULL  STORY]
