Taipei, March 9 (CNA) China Airlines announced Wednesday its plan to launch

seasonal flights from Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport to Athens starting June 3.
The service from Taiwan to Athens, Flight CI 7607, will be operated with Airbus A340-300 planes and is scheduled to depart Taiwan Taoyuan at 11:20 p.m. every Friday between June 3 and Sept. 30 and arrive Athens at 7:30 a.m. the next day, the Taiwanese carrier said.
The return service to Taiwan, Flight CI 7608, is scheduled to leave Athens at 1 p.m. every Saturday from June 11-Oct. 8 and arrive at 6:10 a.m. on Sunday.
The carrier said the direct service that takes around 12 hours each way, should save travelers five hours compared to journeys that include one or more transit stops. [FULL STORY]
