CNA among top 5 online news sources for university students

Taipei, July 31 (CNA) The Central News Agency (CNA, 中央通訊社), Taiwan’s national news 201507310034t0001agency, was one of the five news websites that drew the most visits by university and college students around the country, according to a Shih Hsin University survey released Friday.

The survey found 73.4 percent of the respondent university and college students used the Internet as their key vehicle to access news.

The news website the students visited most frequently was Yahoo Kimo News, followed by Google News, NowNews, Nius News and CNA, according to the survey.

Among five major media categories, the usage rate of the Internet was the highest, attracting 98.9 percent of university and college student users. It was followed by television (82.4 percent), newspaper (42.2 percent), magazine (25.8 percent) and radio (19.8 percent), the survey showed.     [FULL  STORY]
