Wednesday that it is optimistic about the launch of Microsoft’s Windows 10 operating system due to its user-friendly features.
“I think there are many improvements in the recent versions of Microsoft’s products, which are designed to better fit user habits. I’m optimistic about it,” Pegatron CEO and president Jason Cheng told the press on the sidelines of Microsoft’s keynote speech at Computex Taipei.
Pegatron, which makes notebooks for Asustek, Toshiba, Acer and Hewlett-Packard, is expected to ship 850,000 notebooks in May, an increase of 17% from April, due to new projects from clients, according to Kirk Yang, Barclays’ head of technology hardware research for Asia.
Tiffany Huang, president of Acer’s corporate business planning and operations, forecast that the adoption of Windows 10 will accelerate next year when business users begin to replace their older computers. [FULL STORY]
