Convenience store chains to not sell controversial EasyCard

Taipei, Aug. 28 (CNA) Most convenient store chains in the greater Taipei area said on Friday 201508280032t0001that they will not sell EasyCards, stored value cards used for taking the subway, buses and other transportation, that feature Japanese porn star Yui Hatano.

7-Eleven and FamilyMart announced that they have already decided to not sell EasyCards featuring the porn star because the public has different opinions about this issue.

Hi-Life convenience store chain meanwhile announced that it will decide whether or not to sell the cards next week.

OK Mart has decided not to sell the cards for now, but it might change its decision depending on the demand in the market.     [FULL  STORY]
