Taipei, Sept. 8 (CNA) The number of dengue fever cases recorded in Taiwan since the start of summer this year has increased to 6,312, with 88 percent of them reported in the southern municipality of Tainan, the Centers for Disease Control said Tuesday.
As of Monday, 5,586 infections had been reported in Tainan, an increase of 339 cases from the previous day.
The neighboring city of Kaohsiung had 635 cases, while other cities and counties had far fewer, CDC data show. [FULL STORY]
