EVA Airways, one of Taiwan’s leading international carriers, has plans to
buy up to 26 wide-body planes from Boeing, according to the US aviation giant.
In a statement posted on its website, Boeing said that EVA Air’s purchase plan is looking at 24 787-10 Dreamliners and an additional two 777-300ER (extended range) jetliners.
Boeing said that the purchases will be valued at more than US$8 billion at current list prices.
After the transactions, Boeing said, EVA Air will join the 787-10 launch customers team, as well as becoming one of the first airlines in the world to adopt the newest model of the 787 Dreamliner series. [FULL STORY]
