FISU says it will not intervene in Taipei Universiade venue issue

Sports Federation (FISU) said Wednesday in Taipei that it will not get involved in a controversy over the main local venue for the 2017 Summer Universiade.

The three-member team, led by Summer Universiade Director Marc Vandenplas, said FISU has specialists who can advise the Taipei City government and do their utmost to help the host city organize the games.

However, the FISU will not become entangled in the decision on whether the games’ main venue should be changed from Taipei Dome to Taipei Municipal Stadium, the inspectors said.     [FULL  STORY]
