A 20-hectare corn maze in Chiayi opened for a trial run last weekend with free admission, and will be 5846a0c9dd72bopen to the public from Dec. 10 to Feb. 12.

The annual corn festival is dedicated to promoting local agriculture, and is being held for the fourth year. The corn maze is the highlight of the 2016 Yizhu Corn Culture Festival, which not only draws local residents but also visitors as far as north as Taipei and from Kaohsiung to Chiayi.

Due to the postponed sowing effected by typhoon weather, the height of corn stalk isn’t tall enough by now, however, it is expected to grow up to two meters by the end of December.

The maze this year features a rooster, the Chinese zodiac sign of the coming year, with the most challenging route than the previous three years and quiz arranged inside the maze to increase the fun.    [FULL  STORY]
