The high temperature was caused by clouds on the periphery of a tropical depression flying low and blocking cool sea air from flowing in, according to the Central Weather Bureau.
Other weather monitoring stations in the Greater Taipei area recorded highs of 33.9 degrees in Banqiao District in New Taipei, 33.5 degrees in Tamsui in New Taipei, 32.2 degrees in Yilan, 32.2 degrees in Hsinchu, and 30.4 degrees in Xinwu District in Taoyuan. [FULL STORY]
