Nearly 90% of Taiwan people in favor of family physician system

nearly 90 percent of the polled people of Taiwan said that they are in favor of adopting the family physician system, according to results of a survey made public by the Common Health Magazine.

An 87.9 percent of the polled people said that they are willing to support the family physician system if the assigned family physician could be better aware of their health conditions and the implementation of such a system could reduce medical expenditures, the prestigious health magazine said.

Besides, an 86.8 percent of the polled people said that they believe in the diagnosis of their diseases by the nation’s physicians, as well as their suggestions for related treatments.     [FULL  STORY]
