TAIPEI (Taiwan News) – A Jordanian man was captured for breaking into a jewelry
store, taking away eight diamonds and swallowing another nine.
Yesterday, in the central district of Hong Kong, a robbery took place at a jewelry store when a foreigner pretending to be a customer robbed some valuable jewelry. As soon as he entered the store, he beat the only female there and took away a total of 17 diamonds while the other staff and the store’s owner were out for lunch.
As he was trying to open the safety-deposit box, he accidentally triggered the security alarms. Police and the store’s owner then arrived at the store immediately. They saw the clerk lying unconscious on the ground and found the suspect hiding in the storage room. [FULL STORY]
