Tai Tzu-ying smashes her way to career-high No. 4 world ranking

Taipei, April 30 (CNA) Taiwan’s Tai Tzu-ying (戴資穎) climbed to a career-high 201504300030t0001world ranking of No.4 in women’s singles in the latest Badminton World Federation (BWF) rankings after finishing third at the Badminton Asia Championships 2015 in Wuhan, China last week.

Tai reached the quarterfinals for the third consecutive year during the six-day Badminton Asia Championships 2015 which started April 21.

Once in the quarterfinals, the then world No. 5 badminton player Tai knocked out Saina Nehwal, the world No.1 of India 16-21, 21-13, 21-18, and advanced to the semifinals, her best showing ever at the continental championship.     [FULL  STORY]
