TAIPEI (Taiwan News) – The 11th annual North Face 100 trail running event will take place in New Taipei City on April 20-21, with races ranging from 10 to 100 kilometers on offer.

The event will wind through the hills and mountains to the north and east of Taipei City, with much of the course following centuries-old hunting routes and linking major historical sites.

The event includes 10, 20, 50, and 100 km races, all of which take distinctly different routes. A marathon completion certificate is required to participate in the 20, 50, and 100 km events, with the 100 km event also requiring a medical certificate.

Runners will be given 32 hours to complete the 100 km course, which includes a total altitude gain of 6,800 meters.    [FULL  STORY]
