Taipei, July 26 (CNA) Taiwan scored its third straight win in the 2015 U-12 Baseball World Cup of the World Baseball and Softball Confederation (WBSC), beating Cuba 6-5 at Tainan Stadium in southern Taiwan Sunday in the opening round of the championship.

Before the game, the two teams each had two wins and zero losses in the Group A tournaments, which started July 24.

In Sunday’s game, Taiwan and Cuba were tied 5-5 at bottom of the sixth inning and it was not until the seventh inning that Taiwan scored one point to pull ahead.

It was the first showdown between Taiwan and Cuba since the final game in the 2011 U-12 Baseball World Cup, which Taiwan won 3-2.     [FULL  STORY]
