in the Big League Baseball World Series after suffering defeat at the hands of Puerto Rico in the tournament’s international championship.

Puerto Rico, representing the Latin American region, beat Taiwan 3-2 in a back-and-forth game.

The Latin American team took an early lead in the first inning, scoring 1 run with a walk and a hit.

Taiwan made it 1-1 in the top of the second with a hit-by-pitch, a walk and an error.

Puerto Rico scored 1 run on a walk and two hits in the fourth inning, while Taiwan made it even in the top of fifth on a walk, a pickoff error and a hit.     [FULL  STORY]
