Taipei, July 25 (CNA) Taiwan won Saturday three bronze medals in the Asian Judo Open-2015 Taipei that was inaugurated on that day with the participation of some 300 athletes from 34 countries around the world.
The event, which will run through Sunday, has been authorized by the Judo Union of Asia as one of the tournaments granting qualifying points for the 2016 Olympic Games, the organizers said.
The two-day competition, therefore, has attracted many prominent athletes from around the world, including Russian Tagir Khaibulaev, gold medalist of the 2012 London summer Olympic Games. [FULL STORY]
