Taiwan’s Sung Ching-yang (宋青陽), Kao Mao-chieh (高茂傑) and Chen Yan-Cheng (陳彥成) edged South Korean and Colombian teams in the final of the men’s 3000 m relay to win the 11th Taipei Universiade gold medal for the host country, with a time of 4 minutes, 4.432 seconds.

Korea notched silver in 4:04.447 and Colombia took bronze in 4:04.512 in a race that was tightly contested throughout.

The Taiwanese trio has helped all Taiwanese athletes competing in Taipei Universiade to meet the goal set by Taiwan’s Sports Administration of finishing the Universiade with 11 gold medals, regardless of their type.    [FULL  STORY]
