under 71 in the first round Thursday to tie for the 19th place in the Honda LPGA tournament which is taking place at the Siam Country Club in Pattaya and will run through Feb. 28.

The other two Taiwanese players, Candie Kung (龔怡萍) and former World No. 1 Yani Tseng (曾雅妮), shot 72 and 75 on the same day and were tied at 27th and 60th, respectively.

Lexi Thompson of the United States shot two eagles and four birdies in a bogey-free 8-under 64 to take a one-stroke lead over Baek Kyu-jung of South Korea at the 4-day 72-hole tournament, in which 70 of the world’s best players are participating.      [FULL  STORY]
