Taiwan’s Tai Tzu-ying reaches final of Badminton Asia Championship

women’s badminton player, defeated Lee Jang Mi of South Korea on Saturday to reach the finals of the women’s singles at the Badminton Asia Championships 2017 in Wuhan, China.

After beating Lee in the semifinals in two straight games, 21-8 and 21-16, Tai will face Akane Yamaguchi of Japan in the final.

The Japanese player, the second seed in the tournament, emerged as the other finalist after defeating He Bingjiao of the host country, 21-15 and 21-19, in the other semifinal match played Saturday.    [FULL  STORY]
