of one of three majors on the LPGA of Japan Tour with a share of the lead after shooting a steady 2-under 70 in Saturday’s third round.

Lu, currently ranked second on the LPGA of Japan’s money list, was at 6-under 210, tied with Momoko Ueda at the 140 million yen (NT$37.8 million) Japan LPGA Championship Konica Minolta Cup in Nagasaki.

They held a two-shot lead over their nearest pursuers, Bo-Mee Lee of South Korea and Miki Sakai of Japan.

The 27-year-old Taiwanese hoped to continue her luck after a bogey-free 67 on Friday, but could only manage four birdies and two bogeys on the day.

Ueda’s name at the top of the leaderboard was the day’s surprise. She shot a stunning 8-under 64 Saturday that including an eagle on the par-5 ninth and four consecutive birdies to finish the round.     [FULL  STORY]
