TAIPEI, Taiwan — The sunny weather seen across Taiwan at the start of the four-day Tomb Sweeping Festival long weekend could give way to rain from Sunday under the influence of Tropical Storm Maysak, the Central Weather Bureau (CWB) said Saturday.
As of 2 p.m., the storm was centered off the coast of the Philippines, moving in a west-northwesterly direction at a speed of 24 kilometers per hour.
The storm is packing maximum sustained winds of 108 kph, with gusts reaching 136.8 kph, the bureau said. [FULL STORY]
