The foreign ministry has said the US would brief Taiwan before and after the US-China Diplomatic and Security Dialogue held in Washington on Wednesday, local time. It was the first round of the dialogue to take place since President Donald Trump took office in January.
Foreign ministry spokesperson Eleanor Wang said Thursday that Taiwan maintains good relations with the US. Wang said however that the government is concerned about the interaction between the US and China.

Wang said, “Taiwan and the US had close communication just before the dialogue took place. We were able to know related plans. The US will give us a briefing after the dialogue as well. As in the past, every time the US and China discuss important matters, we will have received a briefing before and after.”    [FULL  STORY]
