Taipei, Sept. 14 (CNA) Taiwan’s Wei-Yin Chen picked up his ninth win of the season for the Baltimore Orioles with an impressive start against the Kansas City Royals at Camden Yards on Sunday.

The Orioles left-hander Chen went seven innings in the 8-2 victory, giving up two runs on six hits and retiring 15 of the last 17 batters he faced.

Chen struck out two and didn’t issue a free pass in the game and his only difficult inning was the second.

After retiring the first two hitters, Chen yielded consecutive doubles to Salvador Perez and Alex Rios and a single to Alcides Escobar that produced the Royals’ only two runs of the game.     [FULL  STORY]
