Taipei, May 2 (CNA) The Yunlin County government signed a memorandum of
understanding (MOU) Tuesday with Wonder Energy Co., a Thai-Malaysia joint venture that will invest around NT$200 billion (US$6.65 billion) in the development of wind power and photovoltaic power in the central Taiwan county.
Yunlin Magistrate Lee Chin-yung (李進勇) signed the MOU with Ting Chung-cheng (丁重誠), a representative of Wonder Energy Company’s Preparatory Office.
The magistrate expressed appreciation to Ting, a Taiwanese businessman from Yunlin, for investing in his county. [FULL STORY]
