A camera that a Japanese diver lost two and a half years ago in the ocean off Okinawa, southern Japan, has been returned to the owner, after being found in Taiwan.

In 2015, Serina Tsubakihara, a university student, lost her digital camera while diving off Ishigaki Island in Okinawa.

Last month, some Taiwanese school children found it while cleaning a beach more than 230 kilometers away, in the eastern part of the island.

The camera was in a waterproof case that was covered with seaweed and shells. The children’s teacher extracted the camera. It was undamaged, and it still had some battery power left.    [FULL  STORY]
