Apple’s upcoming iPhone 8 is not going to be cheap because of the high cost of its new display, said a senior executive of a subsidiary of Foxconn, a major contract manufacturer of iPhones.

“The yield rate of the free shape OLED is only 60 percent!” said Luo Zhongsheng (羅忠生), general manager of Sharp’s cellphone business, in a post on the Chinese microblog Weibo.

He deleted the post hours later.    [FULL  STORY]
