Manila, Nov. 27 (CNA) Taiwan’s basketball team was defeated by the Philippines in a

2019 Basketball World Cup qualifying match in Quezon City on Monday, its second loss in its qualifying Group B.
Despite a strong first quarter, Taiwan trailed by halftime and never was able to get back in the game, eventually losing 90-83.
Monday’s loss followed a 104-66 defeat against Australia in Taipei on Friday.
Taiwan’s next game in the group will be against Japan on Feb. 22, 2018.
