Taipei, Sept. 10 (CNA) A Taiwanese tug of war team successfully defended its title in the women’s 540

kg category at the 2016 Tug of War International Federation (TWIF) Open Club Championship in Sweden Friday, taking its third gold medal.
The team, comprising students from National Taiwan Normal University and Taipei Jingmei Girls High School, had already snagged two golds in the competition, winning the women’s under-23 500 kg and the 500 kg open categories on Thursday.
The Open Club Championship is part of the biennial TWIF World Outdoor Championships, which also include the Tug of War World Championship scheduled for Saturday and Sunday.
A total of 27 countries are represented at the four-day event. [SOURCE]
