Taipei, Sept. 30 (CNA) Taiwanese badminton duo Tai Tzu-ying (戴資穎) and Wang
Tai Tzu-ying (戴資穎, front) and Wang Tzu-wei (王子維, back)
Tzu-wei (王子維) advanced to the mixed doubles final in the first Jeunesse Cup International All-Star Tournament on Saturday.
Tai, who ranks as world No. 1 in women’s badminton, and Wang, who ranks world No. 10 in men’s badminton, defeated their Chinese rivals Wang Lin (王琳) and Chen Hong (陳宏) 21-9, 21-14 in the match, which was held in the gymnasium of the Univeristy of Taipei’s Tianmu Campus.
The Taiwanese duo will face Denmark’s Mads Conrad-Petersen and Line Kjærsfeldt in the gold medal match on Sunday. [FULL STORY]
