singles quarterfinals at the Yonex All England Open Badminton Championships in Birmingham on Friday to enter the semifinals of the tournament.
World No. 1 Tai cruised past Aya Ohori of Japan 21-12, 21-13 in a match that lasted just 33 minutes.
She will next compete against Chen Yufei (陳雨菲) of China, the 8th seeded player at the tournament and currently No. 7 in the Badminton World Federation (BWF) ranking.
The two competed six times in the past, all of which were won by the Taiwanese player.
