finals of the mixed doubles at the US Open on Saturday, while their compatriot -Chuang Chia-jung crashed out of the second round of the women’s doubles at Flushing Meadows in New York.

On Court 7 at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center, second seeds Chan and Rohan Bopanna rallied from a set down to oust Alla Kudryavtseva of Russia and Alexander Peya of Austria 3-6, 6-3, 10-8 in the second round of the mixed doubles.

The Taiwanese-Indian duo failed to save the only break point they faced, but converted one of three, winning 60 of the 114 points contested in 1 hour, 1 minute.     [FULL  STORY]
