Taiwan’s Chan sisters advance to quarterfinals of Pan-Pacific Open

overpowered their opponents Tuesday in the opening round to advance to the women's doubles quarterfinals of the Toray Pan-Pacific Open in Japan.

The Chan sisters opened with a strong start, taking 6-1 in the first set against Monique Adamczak of Australia and Han Xinyun of China.

The pair kept their dominance in the second set to finish 6-0 in a game that lasted 47 minutes at the ITC Utsubo Tennis Center in Osaka.

The Taiwanese sisters will next go up against Gabriela Dabrowski of Canada and Caroline Garcia of France.    [FULL  STORY]
