Taiwan’s Tai Tzu-ying advances to Indonesia Open final

Jakarta, June 4 (CNA) Taiwan’s top female badminton player Tai Tzu-ying (戴資穎) defeated China’s Wang Shixian (王適嫻) Saturday to advance to the final of the women’s singles at the 2016 Indonesia Open Superseries Premier.

Tsai beat Wang 21-9, 21-15 in straight sets. She will face world No. 3 Wang Yihan (王儀涵) of China in the championship match the following day.

It is Tai’s best performance so far at the Indonesia Open Superseries Premier.

The tournament, one of 12 tournaments in the World Superseries of the Badminton World Federation, is being held in Jakarta May 30-June 5, with a total purse of US$900,000.      [FULL  STORY]
