Taipei, Oct. 19 (CNA) Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport has been ranked 10th in the Best Airports for Sleeping awards this year, the first time it has made it to the top 10 list, according to the authority that oversees the country’s main gateway Monday.

The best performance the Taoyuan airport has previously achieved was the fifth-best airport for sleeping in Asia, which was awarded last year, according to the Taoyuan International Airport Corp. “The airport has made it to the world’s top 10 this year, suggesting that it has won international recognition,” the company said in a press release.

The airport is behind Singapore’s Changi International Airport, South Korea’s Seoul Incheon International Airport, Finland’s Helsinki International Airport, Germany’s Munich International Airport and Austria’s Vienna International Airport, according to travel guide Sleeping in Airports website, which presents the awards.     [FULL  STORY]
