TSMC gets great publicity from iPhone 6S chip controversy

whether the new iPhone 6S she bought came with a processor supplied by Samsung or Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co (TSMC).

The child, who is at primary school, insisted that if his mother had bought the “wrong one,” she should return it as soon as possible. “My classmates are all talking about this and they said the difference is huge,” the boy told his parents.

My neighbor then learned about a Facebook page for primary school students in Hong Kong, where the discussions focus on tech gadget issues, including the reported difference in battery performance between iPhone 6S models using Samsung’s chip and models using the chip supplied by TSMC.

International investors have also picked up on the issue and have been buying up TSMC stock at relatively low prices.     [FULL  STORY]
