The new year has not been kind to Alab Pilipinas as it lost for the second time in its last three games in the 2018-2019 Asean Basketball League.

On Sunday at the Changhua Stadium in Taiwan, Filipinos rallied from eight points down in the final frame before surrendering a 72-73 decision to home team Formosa.

The defending champions went 5-0 to start the season, but once the calendar turned to 2019, only have one win to show.

A win in this one was well within their grasp as Ethan Alvano’s triple completed a 17-7 fightback that turned a 55-63 deficit into a 72-70 advantage with five ticks to go on the clock    [FULL  STORY]
