Taipei, April 4 (CNA) Blood moon, an exciting celestial event when the moon turn copper-red during a total lunar eclipse captivated many local astronomy buffs Saturday evening.
Events were held across the country Saturday to observe the lunar eclipse which was visible in most parts of the island, thanks to the clear weather.
The National Museum of Natural Science in central Taiwan’s Taichung city carried out events both at the museum itself and the Taichung Metropolitan Park. More than 500 skywatchers were attracted to a series of lectures and observations between 3 p.m. and 9 p.m. [FULL STORY]
