2-under-par 70 Friday in the second round of the Fubon LPGA Taiwan Championship in Linkou and finish the day in the best position of any of the 20 Taiwanese in the event.

Kung was tied for 10th at 2-under 142 with seven other golfers, four shots behind second round leaders Jang Ha Na and Park Hee Young of South Korea.

The only other Taiwanese golfer to be under par after two rounds was Tsai Pei-ying (蔡佩穎), who was tied for 18th at 1-under after a late-round collapse.

Tsai was near the top of the leaderboard at 5-under for the tournament after sinking a birdie on the par-four 13th, only to give away four shots with bogeys on the 15th and 16th holes and a double-bogey on the tricky par-5 18th.

The steady rain that fell throughout the day made conditions tough for all of the players on Friday, and only 25 players in the 80-player field finished the day with two-round totals of par or better in the US$2 million tournament at the Miramar Golf Country Club in Linkou.     [FULL  STORY]
