Swiss partner Martina Hingis claimed the Dongfeng Motor Wuhan Open title Saturday, defeating Shuko Aoyama of Japan and Yang Zhaoxuan (楊釗煊) of China in the women’s doubles final.
The two did not drop a single set en route to the Saturday’s final, in which their opponents put up a very good fight.
Chan and Hingis won two of the three sets with scores of 7-6 (5), 3-6, 10-4, to win the match 2-1.
The duo have been on a roll, claiming their third consecutive title following their wins at the 2017 Western and Southern Open and the U.S. Open. They have won so far this year 8 tournaments. [FULL STORY]
