Taipei, Oct. 7 (CNA) The county chiefs of Changhua and Nantou and the deputy mayor of
Taichung jointly promoted a series of agricultural products in Chung Hsing New Village on Wednesday, after the three municipalities in central Taiwan held their fourth joint meeting on governance earlier in the day.
The three municipalities agreed to set up a burn rehabilitation center, jointly check their air quality, establish a mechanism to combat dengue fever and prepare for the avian flu season in autumn and winter.
Changhua Magistrate Wei Ming-ku (魏明谷) said agriculture is one of the main industries of Changhua, which produces quality grapes and guavas.
Wei noted that the three municipalities had jointly marketed their agricultural products in Singapore in July, helping to get their products into overseas markets. [FULL STORY]
