environments and conditions of migrant workers in Taiwan, the results of which will be used to better protect their rights and reduce fatal accidents among them while working here.

Minister of Labor Hsu Ming-chun (許銘春) made the promise while answering questions from opposition Kuomintang (KMT) Legislator Hsu Shu-hua (許淑華) at a Social Welfare and Environmental Hygiene Committee hearing Monday.

The MOL, relevant agencies and local authorities will first hold a meeting to discuss the issue in two weeks, Hsu Ming-chun said.    [FULL  STORY]
