CWB: Tropical depression off Philippines unlikely to affect Taiwan

The Central Weather Bureau says a tropical depression forming to the east of the Philippines is unlikely to impact Taiwan.

Forecasters say that while the system could strengthen into a typhoon, the storm’s low latitude means that the chances of it affecting Taiwan’s weather are low.
