leading power management solution suppliers, Friday inaugurated a solar power plant in the mountainous area of Ako City in Japan’s Hyogo prefecture.

It is the first solar power plant built by Delta Electronics as part of its efforts in developing renewable energy. The Delta Electronics solar power plant, which connects to an extra-high voltage grid of 33,000 volts, is the largest distributed solar power plant in Japan.

Built in the Delta Ako Energy Park, the solar plant, with an area of 96,000 square meters, is equipped with a capacity of 4.6 MW and is expected to generate 4.9 million kWh a year. Delta Electronics said that electricity generated by the solar power plant is expected to meet the demand of 930 local households per year.     [FULL  STORY]
